The challenge

What we set out to solve

SALES works with people living with stroke, paralysis and disability in Barishal, and its funding comes from people who have to find it before they can give. The site had to explain the work plainly, hold together on a phone over a slow connection, and take a donation without a payment platform’s monthly fee eating into it.

Our approach

How we thought about it

React with client-side routing for the pages and the blog, Bootstrap 5 for a layout that holds together on the phones its readers actually use, and EmailJS for donation notifications, so there is no server to run and nothing to pay for between donations. Meta tags, Open Graph, sitemap and robots.txt were part of the build rather than a pass afterwards.

What we built

The solution

A static site on Vercel that loads fast on a slow connection: programmes and impact laid out plainly, a blog the team can grow without a developer, and a donation form that checks its own input, handles multiple currencies and emails the organisation the moment it is submitted.
